- Lead and manage a team of 15-20 quality department personnel, ensuring effective communication and professional development.
- Serve as the primary quality contact for production supervisors, assisting with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to enhance production quality.
- Oversee and maintain the quality control systems for specific product groups, aligning with industry standards and customer expectations.
- Coordinate quality control activities related to new product development, including on-site start-ups and tool and vendor certifications.
- Develop and implement inspection and testing protocols, equipment, and documentation to ensure product integrity.
- Establish critical component criteria for assembly processes and maintain in-line inspection standards for crucial product attributes.
- Work closely with external vendors to ensure quality specifications and standards compliance.
- Regularly review and optimize production processes and quality specifications to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to design and deliver quality control training programs for the quality and production teams.
- Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation within the quality department to meet strategic objectives and deadlines.
- Leadership: You inspire, motivate, and guide others to achieve goals. You excel in roles that require directing teams and processes and effectively managing and resolving conflicts within teams.
- Problem-solving: You can identify problems, analyze underlying factors, and devise effective solutions. Your strategic approach to problem-solving is critical in managing complex manufacturing challenges.
- Communication: You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, can effectively articulate complex ideas, and engage constructively with team members across all levels of the organization.
- B.S. Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- At least 2 years of managerial experience.
- Proven proficiency with Quality tools such as corrective actions and control plans.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating and leading teams.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with experience soliciting and integrating feedback from various stakeholders.
