DescriptionThe IT Help Desk technician is responsible for completing day to day help desk activities of the IT department, including user account setup, deploying equipment, installing software and troubleshooting issues. The technician works closely with other IT team members to escalate issues and participate in larger improvement initiatives. This role will also support the network administrator on network related tasks and projects.Responsibilities:
  • First point of contact for internal customers seeking IT support
  • Provides technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware and software applications
  • Responds to requests, isolates problem, determines and implements solution. Follow up with internal customers to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Monitor the status of Windows Updates, ensure all computers have the latest security patches and resolves any issues with computer updates
  • Monitor the patch status of Third-Party Applications and push out patch updates as needed
  • Document internal procedures
  • Assist Network Administrator as needed
  • Assist with Network infrastructure including servers, routers, switches, access points.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in related field required
  • At least 3 years of relevant technical experience in an IT support role
  • Desired experience with Windows Systems Administration
  • One or more industry certifications: A+, Network + or Microsoft
  • Great communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • High level of integrity and work discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
