- Planning the development process, writing of protocols, execution of method development experiments as needed.
- Responsible for validation of method.
- Responsible for analytical testing of in vivo and in vitro samples, analyzing results, and communication results to clients and/or senior level staff.
- Responsible for drafting technical summary reports to include results for the client and may be utilized for regulatory submission.
- Responsible for method troubleshooting to increase data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times.
- Contributes to technical discussions, experimental design, data review, sponsor inquiries.
- May contribute to resolution of lab investigations.
- Mentors and trains junior level staff.
- Sound knowledge of method development, analytical techniques, and scientific principles, theories, concepts, and instrumentation.
- Understands the phase of development relevant to the assigned method and interactions/implications of method development across cross functional areas.
- Projects require some knowledge of state-of-the art principles and theories in appropriate technical and/or scientific area(s).
- Sound troubleshooting capabilities.
- Basic knowledge of requirements under relevant regulatory standards for assigned work area.
- Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain a degree of independence to complete assigned tasks and projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
- Ability to process and apply complex information from various topics.
- Ability to bring projects and deliverables to completion under timeline expectation.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, or a related field required.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of related experience in method development or specific methodology area or a master’s degree plus 1-2 years of experience or a PhD level degree; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in bioanalytical laboratory environment.
- Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
