Job DescriptionResponsible for tending machines in the three machining departments on the shop floor: Forge, Rotary and CNC. Will occasionally work in the Assembly or Deburring areas if needed.
  • Tends machines and presses in Forge, Rotary or CNC Departments.
  • Check for and file paperwork for completed jobs.
  • Make periodic visual and gauged quality checks; complete all quality paperwork and approvals.
  • Pull SPC on incoming raw materials.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality and safety.
  • Ability to give operating instructions when needed.
  • Ability to train, instruct and assist trainees through the training period.
  • Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to set ups and operations within recognized procedures.
  • Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision and assistance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, walk, and carry brass parts
  • Must be able to lift an average of 40 lbs. in baskets, boxes, etc. on an average 8-hour shift
Requires Skills/Abilities:
  • Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product
Education and Experience:
  • Machine classes or vocational training helpful
  • Entry Level: ability to train on all job functions
  • Machining experience helpful
