- Tends machines and presses in Forge, Rotary or CNC Departments.
- Check for and file paperwork for completed jobs.
- Make periodic visual and gauged quality checks; complete all quality paperwork and approvals.
- Pull SPC on incoming raw materials.
- Maintain a high degree of quality and safety.
- Ability to give operating instructions when needed.
- Ability to train, instruct and assist trainees through the training period.
- Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to set ups and operations within recognized procedures.
- Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision and assistance.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Must be able to stand, sit, reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, walk, and carry brass parts
- Must be able to lift an average of 40 lbs. in baskets, boxes, etc. on an average 8-hour shift
- Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product
- Machine classes or vocational training helpful
- Entry Level: ability to train on all job functions
- Machining experience helpful
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally
- Physical hazards due to lifting of product
- Fumes, dust, oils,
- Extended periods of sitting or standing while tending machines
