- Develops, maintains, and communicates budget measures, goals, and objectives to supervisors/managers.
- Updates the department head on the status and progress of budgets.
- Supervises and assures proper procedures and quality work is performed by assigned personnel.
- Attends and participates in meetings, workshops, and training sessions as directed by the department head.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, budgets, and record keeping. Knowledge of the latest version of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working internal relations.
- Ability to exercise judgment in unusual or stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Computer experience required, knowledge of MAS 90 preferred.
- Knowledge of budgets and application of budgetary policies and procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of administrative and financial procedures and practice, as well as principle techniques, terminology, and procedures of good accounting practices.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
- 0 - 1 year of experience in accounting for non-profit, governmental, and/or health care organizations.
