We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team in our Loveland, CO office. JFT will accept resumes until this position is filled.Job Function:To provide logical, efficient planning and management of projects in a manufacturing environment. Creating and owning a plan to bring JFT's projects to reality by taking into account the required processes, dependencies and the inevitable changes and challenges that come with manufacturing. Proactively interfacing with project teams, shop personnel and suppliers to coordinate on time and on budget delivery of equipment.Core Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing drawings or 3D models to determine cost estimates based on materials, and labor hours.
  • Identifying potential problems with materials or design that could affect costs or fabrication timeframes.
  • Provide logical groupings and priorities for manufacturing.
  • Tracking progress in the shop.
  • Working with Engineering to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Determining material costs, labor rates, and overhead expenses for each step of a project and adding them up to calculate an overall estimate.
  • Consulting with the shop supervisor, engineers, and contractors to determine costs for various materials and equipment.
  • Drive process improvements.
  • Create production plan and documents (work orders).
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with MS Project is a plus.
  • Intimate knowledge of production processes & techniques.
  • Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements.
  • Understanding GMP and DFM.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work with export controlled items.
  • US work authorization is required.
