- Coordinates, prepares and/or assembles the engineering package/project documentation for each assigned project based on direction provided from manager.

- Provides the purchasing services for project materials required. This includes reviewing potential vendors, contacts with vendors, coordinating with the Purchasing department, issuing purchase orders, some price negotiation, and expediting delivery.

- Manages project costs, project scheduling, and communicates pertinent data to appropriate areas for engineering projects which may vary in terms of scope and responsibilities.

- Assists with installation, checkout, start-up and training as necessary.

- Assists in conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these studies, assists to develop and implement optimized product flow.
- Assists in validating IE requirements with multiple automation integrators and verifies that automation solution/proposals aligned with business strategies using Just-In-Time/Lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Assists in collecting/analyzing data and works with the Sr. IEs to validate current state processes/flows to establish an accurate model of the operation of a system. Learns how to create Discrete Event Simulation (DES) baselines and collaborates with the Sr. IE to propose/validate future automation solutions that improve cycle time, WIP, bottlenecks, throughput, capacity, resource utilization, and production rate changes of complex production systems.
- Automation
- Understanding of electrical engineering, controls, robotics, and/or automation
- Assists with developing test plans to burndown risk for automation projects and set requirements for FATs and SATs.
- Assists with testing and validation automation systems.
- Assists in reviewing technical drawings, plans, proposals, RFQs, RFQ responses, and specifications for automation work.
- Assists with estimating, developing, and deploying automation technology solutions.
- IoT
- Understanding of electrical engineering and or computer science concepts
- Assists with testing and validation IoT systems.
- Assists with developing and deploying IoT technology solutions.
- Electrical, Mechanical, CS&E, Controls/Automation Engineering or related technical field
- 0 - 3 years of experience
- Coop or Internship Preferred
- 30% travel requirement
