This is a full-time, hourly position.Work to be performed
Weighing up micros based on formulation and from the batch ticket. Must have knowledge of products and codes, warehouse layout, forklift operation, pallet jack, and quality specifications of shelf life of our products, storage and packing procedures. Good housekeeping is to be maintained at all times. Attention to detail is KEY. Exact measurements are required for the health and safety of the animals we manufacture feed for.Work Duties and Required Skills
- Daily weighing of micros to formulation specifications, daily reconcile of accountable drugs and premixes. Able to lift 55lbs. on a regular basis. Legibly fill out paper work each time that micros are made and ensure the correct amount weighed is documented. Daily housekeeping of the micro and East micro warehouse. Uses hand truck or forklift, pallet jack for movement of products as necessary.
- Practice good customer service procedures as required by company customer service guidelines. Remember that Customer Service is a top priority at ADM Animal Nutrition.
- Customer Service Guidelines includes being prompt and courteous, unloading customer's trucks according to ADM AN procedures And following our drug receiving SOP.
- Work as a team player in the quality process. Notify Plant Management or Quality and Food Safety Coordinator as necessary, if any out-of-spec quality conditions exist. Assure product is properly weighed, in proper packages, and is coded and tagged correctly. Must have adequate quality training.
- Communicate effectively with the Production Manager or QA regarding product counts and quality of packaging when using or receiving product.
- Ability to operate a fork truck proficiently and in a safe manner.
- Housekeeping in the Micro room and East Micro warehouse is to be performed according to the ADM Animal Nutrition, Springfield Plant Housekeeping plan. Other housekeeping duties are to be completed as assigned.
- Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment at all times (i.e. fork truck, etc.) in a manner so not to harm yourself, your fellow employees, and the equipment or plant structure. Follow all established plant safety rules.
- Work overtime as required based on customer demands and as directed by Springfield Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager or Warehouse or any other lead Person.
- Fill out necessary paperwork properly, including but not limited to, Daily micro and reconciling paperwork. This needs to be done correctly to follow our traceability protocol.
- Provide training as necessary to train new employees and lesser skilled employees when opportunities arise for them to learn.
- Must be able to easily lift all materials, as the job requires. Lifting ability must be at least 55 pounds from the floor to a minimum height of 50 inches. Must be able to climb ladders.
