Rate of pay is competitive and based on level of education and experience in the field.Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and carry out an education program designed by Lil’ People’s Place
- Responsible for the appearance of a welcoming classroom (ie. bulletin boards, care of equipment and materials, overall cleanliness, and organization)
- Mentor assistant teachers
- Always supervise children in the classroom and on playground
- Share in classroom cleaning duties
- Have open, daily communication with parents
- Lesson planning
- Implementing strong classroom management
- Maintaining an environment that meets all licensing regulations, to promote a loving and nurturing classroom
- Having a positive and professional attitude
- Looking for someone who is positive, caring, loving, and patient.
- Must work well with others
- Able to lift children of varying ages and equipment of varying sizes
- Educational requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, CDA or minimum 12 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or child related field with 960 hours of experience
- Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Certification
- 16 hours of continued education
- Fingerprint Background Check through CCBC
