- Analyze asset failure data, conduct root cause analysis to solve reliability problems and validate solutions with data.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers, Storeroom, and Execution teams to implement maintenance strategies to maintain assets.
- Support the development of the asset hierarchy in SAP.
- Support the execution of asset criticality utilizing the equipment analysis to support maintenance prioritization.
- Facilitate Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) and engineer the asset maintenance plan.
- Engineer preventative maintenance job plans to detect failure patterns through human detection.
- Partner with PdM Analyst to implement appropriate PdM technology to detect failure patterns.
- Partner with Corporate Engineers to incorporate design for reliability and maintainability concepts into new assets.
- Conduct life cycle cost analysis on equipment and communicate analysis to decision makers.
- Must have the technical competence and aptitude to continually evaluate and enhance Preventative Maintenance program and processes when necessary and based on needs such as equipment changes, upgrades, and as required by the business.
- Manage any follow up work requests from site audits, quality walks, etc.
- Provide guidance to senior stakeholders within the function on new concepts, practices, and approaches.
- Provide support determining methods and procedures to meet objectives.
- Manage major projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products.
- Quality and Food Safety – Support overall responsibility for finished product quality, food safety and legality, within functional area. Maintain standards and adjust processes to meet Del Monte standards and customer expectations.
- Communicate and explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Engineer Degree in applicable or related area (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- At least 5 - 8 years of related engineering experience within a food manufacturing setting or comparable industry
- Ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to work with larges sets of data and make sense of them.
- Strong understanding of systems, equipment, and processes, as well as engineering principles.
- Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to use statistical analysis tools, as well as the ability to interpret and communicate the results of the analysis.
- Ability to identify potential safety and quality hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization. Strong partnership with production planners, storeroom, maintenance teams, and outside contractors will be required.
- Prior experience with a CMMS or PM tracking system.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
- SAP experience and/or Super User Trained.
- PdM knowledge and/or certifications.
- Knowledge of Precision Maintenance.
- CMRP Certification.
