Through its Restaurant Brands for Good framework, RBI is improving sustainable outcomes related to its food, the planet, and people and communities.OverviewThe Senior Director of Architecture & Technical Advisory Group is a strategic role responsible for prototyping novel projects for multiple brands and guiding the CIO and Chief Digital Officers in the brands on technical initiatives. This role is responsible for making sure the architecture and solutions that we build align with industry best practices. This role will require a deep understanding of cutting-edge technology in the retail, QSR, and tech sectors. The expectation is that they can rapidly build an understanding of our current systems and help build recommendations on a path forward.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of infrastructure that spans regions and brands
  • Collaborate with business units to help enforce enterprise-level controls and provide recommendations on the best technology solutions
  • Mentor and manage a small team of principal level software engineers
  • Provide guidance on AI/ML initiatives within the brands, SaaS solutions at the enterprise level, and provide recommendations for architectural solutions that touch all business units
  • Lead and execute the creation of novel technology solutions in the QSR industry applying techniques such as computer vision, machine learning, automatic speech recognition, and best practices in cloud infrastructure.
  • Drive initiatives to automate processes and enhance data accessibility, improving operational scalability and enforcing best practices at the enterprise level.
  • You will also be responsible for managing the people costs and infrastructure costs for the small team of high-level engineers.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, product management, or managerial roles with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing crossfunctional teams.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or in a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful technology products, ideally in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices, product development lifecycle, and agile methodologies.
  • Technical expertise with designing architecture for data infrastructure and software products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with C-suite executives.
  • Experience with platform architecture best practices
