Food & Beverage Leader in Training (Intern)As a Leader in Training, you will be immersed in all aspects of our operations. From multiple outlets and roles, you will be exposed to different areas of Sage Lodge. You will work closely with department leaders at each phase of your training to develop core competencies including, but not limited to, a comprehensive understanding of department operations and positions, interdepartmental coordination and pillars of exceptional guest and team member service. The Brass Tacks
  • Learns practical application of leadership skills in various departments including Food & Beverage, Banquets & Catering and Culinary, including but not limited to management of software, scheduling, purchasing/inventory management and creating an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
  • Support all departments once trained.
  • Develops and maintains favorable working relationships and open communication with all departments.
  • Manages guest issues effectively, keeping in mind both the guest’s needs and business objectives.
  • Conducts adequate follow-up with both guest and fellow team members.
  • Serves as operational lead in absence of direct manager/supervisor.
  • Positively contributes to CH Values and property culture.
  • Follow up on guests requests immediately or asks for assistance from one of the supervisors.
The Nitty Gritty
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year College or University, or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is required to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • The ability to quickly learn and apply new procedures.
  • The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, guests, and the public.
  • The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and area.
  • The ability to solve practical problems when only limited standardization exists.
  • The ability to interpret written and oral instructions.
  • Strong computer skills: Full knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
