The Brass Tacks
- Learns practical application of leadership skills in various departments including Food & Beverage, Banquets & Catering and Culinary, including but not limited to management of software, scheduling, purchasing/inventory management and creating an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
- Support all departments once trained.
- Develops and maintains favorable working relationships and open communication with all departments.
- Manages guest issues effectively, keeping in mind both the guest’s needs and business objectives.
- Conducts adequate follow-up with both guest and fellow team members.
- Serves as operational lead in absence of direct manager/supervisor.
- Positively contributes to CH Values and property culture.
- Follow up on guests requests immediately or asks for assistance from one of the supervisors.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year College or University, or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is required to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- The ability to quickly learn and apply new procedures.
- The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, guests, and the public.
- The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and area.
- The ability to solve practical problems when only limited standardization exists.
- The ability to interpret written and oral instructions.
- Strong computer skills: Full knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
