- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Management and/or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of plant support systems (Internal Substations, Compressed air, Chilled water, Central vacuum, Pneumatic waste collection etc.
- Good financial acumen with experience developing and implementing large capital business cases / projects.
- Knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals and technology.
- Skilled in organizing work and delegating to appropriate channels while working with other engineers and/or contractors.
- Strong aptitude for working with various telecom, security, and operating systems.
- Ability to initiate change through problem solving, decision-making, planning and utilization/development of employees and resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
- Experience in project management organization and implementation with delivered results.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge & experience in AutoCad and similar programs.
- Experience in the development and implementation of automation projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Printing experience (Commercial and/or Yearbook).
- Lean Six-Sigma certification, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, or similar experience.
- Responsible for evaluation, selection, installation, maintenance, reliability, modification and improvement of the Plant infrastructure and its equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Initiates and leads automation projects for the Plant..
- Works with the Maintenance department to evaluate needs for new equipment, existing equipment maintenance and modifications, both scheduled and unscheduled, as well as any special projects as they arise.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining strong work relationships with outside contractors and vendors, managing budget and costs, while delivering results. Participates in creating capital and expense budgets in a timely manner and reviews and monitors monthly.
- Lead Property Loss Prevention and Insurance assessments, corrective actions, claims and other responsibilities. Works with other engineers to determine appropriate space requirements for all departments and areas and works with plant management teams to allocate.
- Partners with all departments and team members to support and drive current and new Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety initiatives utilizing continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
- Supports and assists production and other department areas as needed or requested by management. Shows flexibility in work schedule and is ready to quickly prioritize and assist where needed.
- Support Plant Safety initiatives & procedures, while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
