- Responsible for merchandise flow from stockroom to shop.
- Maintains store inventory levels, including stocking the store, monitoring best sellers and maintaining correct pricing of merchandise.
- Communicates selling trends and highlights new merchandise arrival to Manager/Supervisor (Buyer’s Reports weekly).
- Maintains Purchase Order book.
- Possesses familiarity of key vendors.
- Strategize with Manager/Supervisor on merchandise presentation in the shop.
- Reviews shipping forms and customer special orders to ensure timely delivery of merchandise to guests.
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the stockroom.
- Maintains the organization and presentation standards of the sales floor.
- Assist in corporate gift needs (packaging, delivering, etc.)
- Interacts with guests on sales floor.
- Presents features and benefits of the shop’s products.
- Ensures guest service is in compliance with standards set by the Hotel and the Department.
- Takes special orders for customers.
- Closes sales with reinforcement.
- Opens other stores when there are sick calls/gives breaks when needed.
