EMTs will start between $19.89 and $22.65 per hour, earning up to $62,422 annually.We are currently offering a generous $5,000 sign-on bonus (after the completion of one year)! We offer excellent healthcare options and fantastic retirement benefits, including 12% of your base pay to 401a, $1 for $1 up to 5% match in the 457(b) retirement plans with financial adviser services available at no additional cost (this could be a total of 22%!).YOUR NEW ROLEWorking on a 24-hour rotation with 10 shifts/month, you will respond to emergency calls, including fires, medical incidents, rescues, and hazardous materials incidents. Your skills will be tested to provide immediate medical care and support to patients in various situations. You will operate firefighting and emergency medical equipment with precision and skill and collaborate with fellow firefighters and first responders to ensure a coordinated and efficient response.REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Georgia State-certified EMT Basic, EMT Intermediate, EMT Advanced, or Paramedic
- BLS Certification
- Certified State of Georgia Firefighter
- NPQ Firefighter I
- NPQ Firefighter II
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in high-stress environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- No felony convictions
- 2+ years of experience as a certified Firefighter with a paid professional fire department
- 20/20 vision with or without correction
- Ability to hear within the normal range with or without correction
- 18 years or older
