As Theodore Roosevelt said, “The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.” We’re here, standing beside our customers, ready to serve and succeed.ITA is seeking a Computer Scientist/Software Development SME to join the team at Aberedeen Proving Grounds in Marlyand.ResponsibilitiesThe selected Computer Scientist/Software Development SME will develop, test, deliver and maintain critical software for Electronic Warfare (EW) Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) systems.This individual will also serve as the lead on-site software developer for the Army Reprogramming Analysis Team (ARAT) at the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM).Additional duties include but aren not limited to:
  • Assist in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for mission software systems, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and implement a solution to automate the Threat Change Detection process utilizing ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) collections. This includes the automation of assessments regarding threat relevancy to Army systems.
  • Leverage digital twins to simulate and analyze Army systems, aiding in the rapid identification and assessment of threats.
  • Automate the generation of System Response Reports (SRR) to streamline data validation and decision-making processes for System Matter Experts.
  • Work closely with development teams, contributing to the design and implementation of mission information systems. Ensure integration and functionality across diverse platforms and operational environments.
  • Contribute to ongoing transformation efforts within ARAT to enhance capabilities and effectiveness in addressing complex, modern-day threats.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and operational readiness of all deliverables through rigorous testing and validation protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, preferably in a military or defense-related environment.
  • Proficiency in software development languages and frameworks relevant to the project.
  • Strong understanding of Electronic Warfare and Aircraft Survivability Equipment highly desirable.
  • Experience with ELINT and digital twins is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Must be eligible for or currently possess a secret security clearance.
