- Execute and champion communications strategies and plans, at the direction of the VP of Marketing and Communications, that support annual strategic goals, enhance the organizational brand, strengthen brand awareness, and promote missional effectiveness and growth.
- Own TCF’s communications calendar pursuant to established strategies, maintaining consistent standards and best practices for all external communications.
- Create engaging and meaningful content for a variety of channels, such as the website, blog, social media, press releases, podcast, email newsletter, and marketing collateral.
- Manage TCF’s digital marketing efforts and partnerships, including Google Ads (Google Grants), social media marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO), at the direction of the VP of Marketing and Communications.
- Coordinate marketing collateral for conference exhibits and act as the point-of-contact for conference displays, booth reservations, and material shipment and return. Occasionally attend conferences as a TCF representative.
- Manage website content, at the direction of the VP of Marketing and Communications, using analytics to assess performance against goals.
- Work in collaboration with the TCF team and external partners to communicate missional impact through story-focused content, using both compelling visuals and written communication.
- Lead the execution of the creation, distribution, and reporting of impact on recurring communications, including (but not limited to) social media, podcasts, email newsletters, web features and stories, and video content.
- Execute the dispersal of constituent communications, ensuring that messages do not compete, that every communication follows its strategic purpose, and that TCF avoids an excess of messaging or extraneous communications.
- Edit and proofread communications for accuracy, brand standards, grammar, spelling, and overall excellence as needed.
- Correspond with TCF’s constituents and stakeholders to gather and document stories of the mission’s impact on their faith and discipleship; manage TCF’s testimonial database and use of these stories.
- A deep resonance with TCF’s mission, as well as a disposition for ongoing learning related to the organization’s mission and purpose.
- Strong Christian faith and character, and agreement with TCF’s Statement of Faith as stated in the Nicene and Chalcedonian Creeds.
- A passion for working on behalf of Christian organizations, with an unshakable belief in the Church’s potential to be winsome in an increasingly uninviting world.
- Bachelor’s degree or above, and strong writing, grammar, and editing skills along with superior interpersonal communication and story-telling skills.
- Ability to clearly discuss complex issues in ways that energize listeners through writing compelling fundraising letters and proposals.
- Well-developed organizational skills to prioritize and efficiency execute tasks, deadlines, and follow-up.
- Strong self-motivation, time management, accountability, and independent decision-making skills.
- Capacity for strategic vision to work with senior leadership on marketing, communications, and fundraising priorities, and to use metrics to ensure accountability.
- A positive attitude that demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and self-confidence.
- Competency with a range of technology, as well as Microsoft and Google applications. Comfortable using video conferencing technology. Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
