We have an exciting opportunity as a Color Fiber Mixing Lab Technician, you will be responsible for blending and preparing color fibers according to specified formulas and quality standards. This role involves handling raw materials, operating mixing equipment, and ensuring the accurate production of colored fibers. The position requires physical strength for lifting up to 50 lbs, mathematical skills for precise measurements and percentages, and a willingness to work in an environment where getting dirty is a part of the job.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Accurately measure and mix colorants and additives according to specified formulas to achieve desired color outcomes.
  • Operate mixing equipment and machinery to blend color fibers, ensuring proper settings and adjustments.
  • Perform quality checks on color blends to ensure they meet established standards. Make adjustments as needed to maintain product consistency.
  • Record and maintain accurate logs of color formulas, quantities used, and any adjustments made during the mixing process.
  • Lift and move bags or containers of raw materials and finished products, weighing up to 50 lbs, as part of the production process.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Keep work area clean and organized. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong mathematical abilities, including the ability to work with percentages and make precise measurements.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate color reproduction and quality control.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with other team members.
  • Willingness to work in an environment where tasks may be physically demanding and may involve getting dirty.
