We are currently looking for a Civil Litigation Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will represent clients in civil litigation matters including personal injury law, bankruptcy, depositions, construction litigation, wrongful death claims, and defense litigation. You will actively develop legal strategies that will produce the desired outcomes for clients, while also complying with applicable laws, regulations, and court rules. To be successful in this role, you must be able to present complex legal argumentation in a clear and concise manner.Position Overview: The Civil Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts. You will be handling cases from the initial filing through discovery, to trial and final resolution. You should have an in-depth understanding of the civil litigation process, including an ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and court decisions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on their rights and obligations and represent them in court proceedings, including trials.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Analyze case facts and legal documents in order to determine the best course of action.
  • Interrogate witnesses and prepare cases for trial.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
  • Present arguments and evidence to the court.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in personal injury law, bankruptcy, depositions, construction litigation, wrongful death claims, and defense litigation.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex legal arguments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
