- Oversee multiple projects, each lasting one or more years, with teams of over ten members and involving various internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Manage project resources across one to two business units, handling budgets ranging from $2,000,000 to $25,000,000.
- Navigate high-complexity project scopes within APS Project Complexity guidelines.
- Develop comprehensive execution plans to ensure project success.
- Regularly communicate project status updates and results to senior executives, stakeholders within the company, and occasionally external parties.
- Be prepared to travel to power plant sites across Arizona, sometimes requiring extended overnight stays.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field
- OR an equivalent combination of college coursework and experience as a Project Manager or related responsibilities defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling four (4) years,
- AND five (5) years related project management experience.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field
- OR an equivalent combination of college coursework and experience as a Project Manager or related responsibilities defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling four (4) years,
- AND Eight (8) years related project management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required (any exception requires Project Management peer group approval and the employee must acquire PMP certification within 12 months of hire).
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field OR an equivalent combination of college coursework and experience as a Project Manager or related responsibilities defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets
- AND delivery equaling four (4) years
- AND twelve (12) years related project management experience.
- PMP certification required.
This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work. Employees will have two options to choose from:
- APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.
- Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.
