  • Compensation: Starting pay rate of $27.00, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:Great opportunity to enhance your mechanical skills in a dynamic environment. Working as part of our vehicle maintenance team with a focus on snow grooming equipment. Job responsibilities include maintaining a fleet of tracked, diesel powered machines with a variety of hydraulically driven components. Have the opportunity to work on other vehicles including but not limited to excavators, skid-steers, loaders, and trucks.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintain a mixed fleet of snow groomers with opportunities to work on cars, trucks, half pipe cutters, and other equipment.
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Maintain proficiency in diagnosing a variety of systems, including hydraulic and electrical, with many diagnostic tools and information.
  • Utilize equipment and vehicle technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Effectively manage use of time.
  • Assist in maintaining service records.
  • Clean and organize shop/vehicle maintenance work areas.
  • Confer regularly with department supervisor to evaluate activities/systems, exchange information, resolve problems, etc.
  • Communicate thoroughly and clearly with all VM and Grooming staff.
  • Understand environmental aspects and impacts of the job and follow the environmental guidelines as established in the company.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
Job RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
  • Must have 1 year of mechanic experience
  • Relevant technical experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • Broad base of technical knowledge and skills related to vehicle maintenance.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to the requirements of the resort as needed
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of other company personnel and outside firms
  • Requires own tools for general maintenance and repairs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adequate computer skills including work order input and email
