Your key focus will be driving our Multifamily division towards Net Zero, overseeing the integration of ESG principles into all facets of our operations—from acquisitions to existing properties and new developments. This role encompasses the management of projects aimed at reducing emissions, conserving energy and water, and minimizing waste, while ensuring robust reporting and data integrity, including financial disclosures. Additionally, you will spearhead the execution of our social initiatives, including our community investment strategies.Essential Job Functions
  • Develop portfolio-wide ESG strategies and implement property-specific projects/programs aligned with corporate ESG and Net Zero goals.
  • Drive the execution of all social programs, including the implementation of a strategic community investment approach, to foster positive social impact and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee and implement the Net Zero plan to reduce greenhouse emissions, including:
  • Energy expense reduction and enhancement of building equipment efficiency.
  • Integration of onsite renewable energy solutions.
  • Procurement of offsite renewable power
  • Ensure achievement of water reduction goals, conservation efforts, and waste reduction targets.
  • Implement building technology improvements to enhance sustainability.
  • Work directly with Engineering team, Building operations teams, Portfolio and asset management executives, and Senior BPMF management on funding and execution of ESG plans and their impact on asset financials.

  • Identify and evaluate suitable vendors/suppliers for ESG-related projects and initiatives.
  • Directly oversee and manage vendors/suppliers to ensure alignment with ESG goals and contract specifications.
  • Provide ESG reporting and address inquiries from vendors/suppliers as required.
  • Ensure precise internal tracking of projects and programs.
  • Manage suppliers involved in strategic renewable purchasing, onsite generation programs, and efforts to reduce energy, water, and waste.

  • Oversees Multifamily's support for Brookfield Properties (BPG) annual ESG emissions, energy, water, and waste reporting, alongside monitoring our ESG Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
(10%)EducationThis position requires a(n) Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.Work ExperienceBelow is the required/preferred work experience for this position:8 - 10 years:Project and Program ManagementESG program leadership, including executing complex E, S and G projects engaging cross-functional stakeholders and measuring and reporting initiative results.
