- Managing Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint, and Indoor Environmental Quality Projects
- Managing LEED, WELL, and other green building certification projects
- Perform field testing for asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air, and/or other parameters as required by the assigned projects
- Ability to prepare technical proposal and reports
- Ability to communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to keep projects moving and on schedule
- Ability to self-manage and make decisions during all phases of a project
- Ability to manage and control project budgets and build solid relationship with clients
- Operates testing equipment and conducts testing and provides assessment of data through reporting
- Works utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams
- Provide support in growing the Industrial Hygiene Service Line
- Attend and lead project meetings without supervision
- Provide support, mentorship, and training to other employees in the group
- Make detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of results
- Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results
- Communicates effectively with client and project teams
- Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
- Environmental Science, Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering Degree is required
- 5+ years of related experience required
- Colorado Asbestos Building Inspector Certification required
- Colorado Lead-Based Paint Inspector Certification preferred
- Colorado Air Monitor Specialist Certification preferred
- Colorado Asbestos Designer Certification preferred
- NIOSH 582 Certification preferred
- OSHA HAZWOPER or 10-Hour General Industry courses preferred
- Must be able to perform tasks in varying field and office conditions
- Must have Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication
- Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
- Ability to climb occasionally
