- Set the strategic direction for an insights-driven analytics and business intelligence research team that proactively helps drive performance and shape the future of AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) organization.
- Responsible for leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team of professionals to provide best practice analytics and consulting to help solve the most critical BTS leadership questions.
- Partner closely with process owners and subject matter experts in the areas of Finance, Security, Operations, and Talent & Growth (HR) to define and refine meaningful executive-level KPIs and ensure the integration of these metrics into the scorecard is accurate and up to date.
- Primarily through leadership of the BTS Balanced Scorecard, ensure leadership discussions focus on critical business questions, drive towards strategic and synthesized insights, and suggest ideas and recommendations that enable better decision-making for BTS and AbbVie as a whole.
- Lead ongoing change management activities to operationalize the scorecard across BTS, ensuring the BTS Extended Leadership is supported with the resources, information, and points of contact to help them take action to achieve scorecard targets through both broad and targeted internal communication.
- Evolve and embed an outcome-based focus across all parts of BTS that facilitates effective decision making in how we operate, hire, and develop as a technology organization.
- Analytics leadership in support of the BTS People Strategy, improving outcomes across talent attraction, retention, and development through personalization, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.
- Anticipate opportunities and consistently benchmark BTS performance against the best-in-class technology organizations and help differentiate AbbVie BTS as a top tier business technology organization within the industry.
- Be the biggest champion of ideas that allow us to leverage data across the enterprise and amplify AbbVie's remarkable impact on patients.
- Deliver insightful and actionable business intelligence, related insights, and analytics for the SCI organization.
- Manage department budgets and resources.
- Work closely with compliance and ensure alignment with internal and external guidelines.
- Establish succinct, well-defined, traceable business metrics and reporting that are used to measure/manage the business to drive performance.
- Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' experience; Master's Degree with 8 years' experience; PhD with 4 years' experience.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, market or data analytics, business value measurement, and information strategy.
- Track record of successfully driving change and delivering results in ambiguous environments and working in a high performing matrix organization.
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support real-time decision-making.
- Strong business acumen who has translational capabilities between data analytics and business questions.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated/inspiring leading large-scale change and strategy transformations.
- Demonstration of a test and learn framework such as those embedded as part of multi-channel execution to inform continuous improvement, learning and business decisions.
- Ability to establish mutually productive and positive relationships with internal and external groups.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment with Legal and Compliance organizations.
- Strong stakeholder influence and management skills - able to champion an idea and generate support and organizational momentum behind it.
- Pharmaceutical/Healthcare experience is an advantage.
- Degree concentration in Marketing Research, Marketing or Social Sciences. Advanced statistical knowledge is a plus.
