  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.​
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required a minimum of 2 year of Experience.
  • Certifications/License Required: ARRT Nuclear Med or CNMT, and a NYS nuclear med license.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • ​​​​BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • ​Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Nuclear Medical Technologist experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Nuclear Med Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Iowa Nuclear Medical Technologist state license
  • One year of Cerner experience
