- Be responsible for schematic entry, layout, test, and release of printed circuit boards to support a variety of RF, Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave products.
- 2D and 3D modeling of printed circuit boards using Altium and AutoCAD
- Create professional schematics fully linked and synchronized to BOM's and physical layouts from rudimentary communications with engineers.
- With support of other engineering disciplines, design and document cost effective circuit boards, laminate packages, and assemblies to support product development.
- Work with our MMIC design, mechanical design, electromagnetic design, analog/digital design, assembly, and test teams to develop new products as well as production methods.
- Work with our Business Development team on bid & proposal activity.
- Initiate prototype builds and manage product characterization. You will design evaluation hardware and characterization fixtures, then direct or perform measurements.
- Generating manufacturing drawings and documentation.
- Update design rules as required.
- Lead peer review of design concepts.
- Participate as functional lead in external design reviews.
- Cooperating with Project Manager in order to maintain an up-to-date project plan and schedule.
- Work with our Product Engineering group to transfer the product to production.
- Keeping up to date, maintaining passion, and an unwavering thirst for knowledge about the latest circuit board technologies.
- Customer support as required.
- Advocate for PCB Design as a function and technology area within the company
- HS Diploma or GED
- 5+ years working with enterprise grade technical software tools (3 years with Associate's Degree or other vocational education)
- Prior experience with CAD platforms such as KiCAD, LibreCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Fusion360, TinkerCAD, nanoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
- Bona fide PCB enthusiast
- Knowledgeable in drafting standards and best practices
- Detail oriented and quality focused
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits
- Ability to make basic electrical measurements using a multimeter such as voltage, current, resistance, and continuity
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident
