- Design and execute experiments to investigate novel cell-based regenerative approaches for musculoskeletal tissue repair. Develop and optimize protocols for cell culture, differentiation and tissue engineering.
- Use statistical methods to analyze data. Interpret results and contribute to the generation of hypotheses for further investigation.
- Prepare detailed reports of experimental procedures, results and conclusions. Contribute to preparation of manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
- Explore new technologies and methodologies.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and research associates. Participate in training programs to enhance skills of team.
- PhD in Cell Biology, Regenerative Medicine, Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Publication record in tissue engineering related to musculoskeletal system.
- Grant design, preparing reports, budget development and scientific writing skills (such as protocol design, abstract, poster, computer media presentations), and generation of scientific manuscripts.
- Expertise and training with animal research.
- Experience with directing lab assistants in experimental protocol sequences and techniques.
- Bench-top genetic, cellular, biochemical and molecular material handling, experimentation and analysis.
- Proficiency in basic biostatistical analysis.
- Advanced biostastistical skills.
- Ability to conduct bioinformatics analysis, such as analysis of microarray data, RNASeq, proteomics.
