Position Overview: Our client is actively recruiting for a Sales Director to spearhead their sales department, focusing on innovative market strategies, the cultivation of new business relationships, and the stewardship of existing client accounts. This role demands a forward-thinking individual adept at crafting strategic sales initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing client satisfaction. The Sales Director will play a crucial role in advancing the company's market presence and achieving sales targets.Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new, key, and challenging customer accounts as directed.
  • Aid the Customer Service Representative team in addressing technical and collections issues.
  • The Sales Director is expected to independently devise sales action plans targeting potential strategic accounts.
  • Analyze regional market conditions, competitor activities, and pricing strategies, reporting findings to company leadership.
  • Tackle technical and business objections from potential customers with skill and diplomacy.
  • The Sales Director will ensure that customer pricing, contracts, and technical requirements are clearly communicated to, and approved by, company leadership, advocating for standard agreements whenever feasible.
  • Compile and maintain reports on business transactions and other related duties as the Sales Director, as needed.
Competencies and Performance Standards:
  • Experience in Waste Management sales of 3+ years is a must!
  • Demonstrates adaptability to changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Exhibits strong initiative, problem-solving capabilities, and customer service orientation.
  • Upholds the highest business ethics, interpersonal, and communication standards.
  • Strategic thinking and action alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience, with a preference for at least five years of related experience.
  • Proven excellence in both oral and written communication, including effective negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematical reasoning and computer skills, including database and Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, particularly in understanding waste management contract terms and regulatory compliance.
  • Physical capabilities that match the job's demands.
