Position Available: Electrical Project EngineerCompany:Our client, an esteemed engineering and manufacturing firm offering a diverse portfolio of products, services, and solutions for global oil & gas clients is currently seeking a talented Electrical Project Engineer to join their Houston office and contribute to their innovative projects.Location:Houston, TexasJob Type:Full-time, PermanentJob Description:As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of mechanical and electrical engineers and design drafters to support the development of Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, and Electrical Equipment Centers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the success of our oil & gas clients globally.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to develop and design Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, and Electrical Equipment Centers.
  • Prepare electrical designs, schematics, and specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and design drafters as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, or related equipment.
  • 5+ years of Project Engineer experience, preferably within Industrial Manufacturing
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • General knowledge of ANSI, NEMA and IEC standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
