The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of mechanical systems, robotic and mechatronic devices, lights, sound systems, server control panels, cables, and power supplies. The task requires both electrical and mechanical assembly skills. In short, the mechanical line will build up the assembly, test it, and prepare it to be shipped to the final destination where the magic comes together.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands-on operations with both large and small assemblies
- Read, understand, and interpret drawings and schematics
- Stage, set up, assemble, test and install hardware and prepare cables for assembly
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, cable crimpers and splicers, and drivers
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Use various mechanical tools with basic instructions
- Collaborate with production engineers to develop and document activities
- Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
- 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience
- Experience in a fast-paced production/assembly environment
- Skill in operating and manipulating various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
- A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
