Position Purpose:The Aquatics Manager is an integral member of our senior management staff and is directly responsible for all aspects of our product and customer service. This role is a key player in the operations of all our SafeSplash Swim schools within the Arlington and Grand Prairie locations. As the integral part of the management team, you will have the opportunity to build unique relationships with customers and staff of swim instructors and lifeguards. In this team centered role, you will be responsible to successfully grow and mentor employees while highlighting your coaching and leadership skills. This position also includes organizing and training, developing an effective team that is motivated to successfully deliver services that grows the business. The Aquatics Manager's role consists of remote working hours and onsite duties for 4 days per week, including Saturdays.Hours: 30hrs to 40hrs weekly payPay Scale: $18.00 to $22.00 per hours (with relevant experience)Aquatics Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Site Management Duties:
  • Manages multiple locations across the SafeSplash Thide L.L.C. network of swim schools.
  • Must be willing to train staff in accordance to the SafeSplash curriculum.
  • Responsible for creating and adjusting staff schedules to ensure classes are maximized and filled, ensuring effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with other management staff to develop and implement continuous process improvements for family/student registration, scheduling and billing functions.
  • Reviewing customer waitlist, drop rates, and no pays to adjust class registrations accordingly.
  • Continuously find ways to efficiently run operations and instructors on a daily
  • Focused on completing any tasks and projects timely and efficiently on or before due date.
  • Attend necessary trainings, including companywide
  • Keep up to date on emails, conference call trainings, and new features and programs being
  • Conduct performance management on existing staff members on an ongoing basis providing constructive feedback, additional training and guidance, corrective action conversations and administration.
  • Oversees and executes the training program for new hires by providing training, guidance, and performance evaluation to establish solid foundation of excellence in line with SafeSplash
  • Ensures we are connected to our swim families, providing high-quality instruction, and ensuring our staff is well-educated, happy, and engaged.
  • Possess mastery and execution of all swim school policies and procedures in order to consistently communicate and fairly administer those policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries in a manner that supports SafeSplash's mission, vision, and values.
  • Manage and perform family/student registration and class scheduling which includes responding to all family/student registrations in a manner that supports SafeSplash's
  • Ability to do office work, front desk work, and swim instruction when necessary and as needed.
  • Manage the administration of all SafeSplash policies and procedures with our customers.
  • Maintain accuracy, security and integrity of all family/student records including personal, financial and class information.
  • Perform marketing functions as needed to increase registration activity.
  • Perform job responsibilities in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner at all times.
  • Lead and manage the SafeSplash staff in an effective and professional manner.
  • Perform swim instruction, as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
HR Related Duties:
  • Oversee and execute the recruitment process by posting jobs and administrative duties in the Talent Acquisition system and other job boards, identifying candidates, conducting background and drug screenings, reference checks and issuing employment offer letters.
  • Participates in the process of screening and interviewing to identify strong talent for both internal and external candidates and coordination of setting up interviews.
  • Coordinate recognition efforts to motivate team members and encourage positive behaviors, stellar performance, and increased engagement.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and handling employee grievances.
  • Advising management on labor relations issues and be involved in discussions as needed.
  • Keep up to date job descriptions.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and payroll as needed.
  • Responsible for administration of onboarding process, policy execution, handbook updates, and keeping documentation up to date in employee online files.
  • Participating in the development or improvement of people management processes and related HR technology projects.
  • Other HR related administrative functions as needed.

  • Previous management experience in the aquatics industry preferred, with demonstrated experience in employee-related responsibilities (hiring, coaching, counseling and terminations).
  • Must obtain various certifications within 30 days of hiring: Lifeguard certification, CPR, First Aid, and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Basic Swim Instructor (BSI).
  • Happy/friendly and courteous and professional disposition; hospitable and caring.
  • Must be onsite a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Available to work flexible hours with a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends based on business demands.
  • Ability to work any day of the week/shift to be present during shifts to evaluate staff and address customer inquiries/feedback.
  • Understanding of basic business concepts such as P&L, budgets, labor cost vs revenue.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must use company equipment and various prescribed company platforms to conduct business (iPhone, iPad, laptop, iClassPro, Crew, Teams, iSolved, DocuSign, Outlook, Listen360, etc.).
  • Uses Crew to communicate with SafeSplash instructors and lifeguards.
  • Strong computer skills with the willingness to learn new systems and programs as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with a variety of customers and staff via phone and Teams or any other corporate platforms used to conduct business.
  • Previous management experience in aquatics industry required with demonstrated experience in hiring, recruiting and HR related responsibilities a big plus.
  • Exceptional customer service focus: deliver quality experience, can handle pressure of customer escalations.
  • Outstanding multi-tasking abilities: able to handle and coordinate multiple schedules; keep swim instructors and customers on time.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attendance and reliability.
  • Report time worked accurately and on time by clocking into system and on-site log.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding business operations, employee matters, and anything company related.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • Willing to grow with the company, take on gradual responsibilities as needed.
