This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing the successful candidate to work both remotely and onsite as needed. The Legal Secretary will provide administrative support to attorneys specializing in litigation and employment law matters.Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with drafting and formatting legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for attorneys.
  • Maintain and organize legal files and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with document production and discovery tasks, including drafting subpoenas and preparing deposition binders.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for attorney use in litigation and employment law matters.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails,
and managing client inquiries.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in legal studies preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role, preferably in litigation or employment law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and staff.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, with an understanding of litigation and employment law concepts.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
