- Assist attorneys with drafting and formatting legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for attorneys.
- Maintain and organize legal files and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with document production and discovery tasks, including drafting subpoenas and preparing deposition binders.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for attorney use in litigation and employment law matters.
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails,
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in legal studies preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role, preferably in litigation or employment law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, with an understanding of litigation and employment law concepts.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
