- Conducting and managing wellness checks
- Providing preventative counseling services
- Conducting quarterly assessments to determine need for in-person visits to locations
- Provide behavioral health referrals if needed
- Respond to emergencies following Wellness Program SOP
- Provide case management services
- Conduct psychoeducational classes to reduce stigma associated with mental health services
- Provide consultation and recommendations for preventive services for personnel to leadership
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
- Must be Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) with a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program.
- Must have a valid unrestricted license from a State, the District of Columbia, a U.S. Commonwealth, or a U.S. Territory that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
- Must be able to practice at the independent level without requiring state mandated clinical supervision and demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics.
- Must have experience in brief behavioral interventions, critical incident event management, public speaking, and case management.
- Must have provided documented proof of professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence; $3,000,000 aggregate.
- Must have a minimum of six years of full-time professional experience post-licensure.
- Must understand law enforcement, as well as the military lifestyle and culture. Basic knowledge of the military population (e.g., prior work with the VA, having clients who were/are military) are acceptable forms of experience.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds, including enlisted personnel, officers, and senior military and civilian leadership.
- Must be well-versed in crisis debriefing, individual and family counseling, case management, and training.
- Must be able to develop, prepare and present formal briefings and speeches to Army Program leadership (at all echelons).
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to pass a government background check.
- Secret Clearance required for Quantico, VA, Fort Belvoir VA, and Gillem Enclave, GA
- Must be able to travel. Some travel may be between two to seven days on a quarterly basis
