- Lead and take ownership of team development to include hiring and performance management within the Ag Technology team.
- Facilitate meetings with our technology partners to promote and advertise sales programs, work with suppliers and our inventory team on discounts, and new products.
- Perform regular de-briefs with the Ag Technology Specialist team.
- Coordinate with stores and Ag Technology Product Specialist, Store Managers and Sales Professionals on technology and machine issues.
- Lead the development of guidelines for technology machine start-up for our sales team.
- Navigate customers through their display, perform calibrations, and resolve technology and operational issues via phone.
- Help establish and ensure use of standard operating procedures, such as work order completion, machine movements, communication within assigned territories, and safety.
- Determine inventory levels for technology spares, rentals, stock, and demo gear
- Develops and measures a series of metrics defining success of the Ag technology solutions business
- Manage new technology and product introductions and coordinate communications to all parties involved.
- Determine standardized technology quotes, for our Sales team, by working with our accounting, parts, inventory team, Ag program managers and technology partners.
- Develops a comprehensive training plan for technology solutions in conjunction with our training department to include Service, Parts, Sales and Customers.
- Be an active participant in industry groups and events, and keep abreast of competitive activity, products, and pricing.
- Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Organizes, communicates, and delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure the successful operation of the department.
- Provides regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivating employees and promoting self-development.
- Communicates with and coach’s employees on assignments, providing technical expertise as needed.
- Selects, trains, and develops employees consistent with department/division goals, providing coaching on career development.
- A two-year degree is preferred, or equivalent experience and training preferred. Four years comparable experience preferred.
- Previous Heavy Civil Experience or Technology Control and Guidance experience required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet company insurability guidelines.
- Basic sales knowledge preferred.
