Curriculum Leadership: Oversee the design and revision of the graduate curriculum as needed to ensure alignment with university standards and external accreditation requirements. Lead the development of innovative learning activities that foster student engagement and achievement of program outcomes.2. Development & Mentoring of Faculty: As a Leader in Higher Education, this individual will be key in assisting the Dean of Nursing with Division wide Faculty Development and Mentoring.3. Instruction of Courses within Areas of Expertise: An abbreviated teaching load will be determined upon hire.4. Quality Assurance: Promote the quality and currency of the curriculum, learning resources, and opportunities within the program. Guide the course and program assessment processes, including external accreditation and reporting.5. Admissions and Student Progression: Take responsibility for admission review and student acceptance into the program, adhering to program and department policies. Regularly review student retention, progression, and graduation rates, addressing any challenges or concerns that arise.6. Policy Coordination: Coordinate the development, revision, and dissemination of program policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with departmental, college, and university regulations.7. Student Advisement: Coordinate the advisement process for students, providing guidance on curricular progression, program policies, career options, and university procedures. Offer direct advisement to students as needed.8. Documentation and Communication: Maintain program documents, records, and websites to ensure accuracy and currency of information. Provide program expertise to support Graduate Marketing and University Admissions efforts in promoting the program and recruiting students.9. Additional Responsibilities: Fulfill other duties associated with individual graduate programs, which may include establishing and monitoring internship contracts, mentoring program faculty, conducting advisory board meetings, overseeing program awards and grants, and establishing community collaborations. - Doctoral degree required.
- Minimum of two years experience in higher education administration, curriculum development, or program coordination required.
- Where appropriate, Nebraska licensure and national certifications are required of faculty employed at Nebraska Methodist College.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and processes preferred.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
