- Familiarity with Federal, State, and local environmental and safety regulations, with the ability to interpret and ensure compliance.
- Provides company-wide guidance and program support for various safety and environmental initiatives, including confined space entry, lockout/tag out, electrical safety, and hazard communication.
- Assists in reporting, auditing, and maintaining safety and environmental programs, including regulation interpretation and trend analysis.
- Conducts facility inspections/audits to detect safety, health, and environmental hazards, recommending corrective/preventative measures.
- Provides incident investigation support and maintains OSHA logs and TRIR metrics for facilities.
- Serves as emergency contact for Milford facilities and performs job hazard assessments.
- Tracks safety performance and communicates results to senior management, highlighting significant incident trends.
- Manages and develops training programs to increase employee awareness and reduce environmental impact and injuries.
- Reviews and approves MSDSs and oversees maintenance of MSDSOnline.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and acts as a liaison supporting safety committees.
- Assists with facility inspections by outside agencies and completion of environmental compliance reports.
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in EHS.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, EHS, or Industrial fields preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience with OSHA/EPA regulations.
- ASP or CHMM certification preferred.
- Strong soft skills and communication abilities.
- Proficient in math and chemistry.
- Self-motivated and computer literate.
- Prior experience in industrial hygiene and environmental waste management desirable.
