- Develop and perform novel tissue-based immunohistochemical assays (both chromogenic and fluorescent) on FFPE tissue using manual and automated staining platforms
- Design and execute multiplex immunofluorescence (IF) assays to characterize the expression, distribution, and localization of tissue biomarkers in normal and tumor tissues
- Optimize new probes for RNAscope in situ hybridization assays
- Perform new antibody optimization and validation on human tissue samples
- Conduct image acquisition and quantitative analysis on multiplex IF and chromogen stained samples
- Analyze and present results within the team and to broader scientific groups both internally and externally with minimal supervision
- Assist in daily lab operations including equipment maintenance, managing inventory and reagent preparation
- Record experimental procedures and results in an electronic lab notebook (eLN)
- Bachelor's degree with significant knowledge in immunology
- Minimum of 4 year's experience in multiplex IF staining.
- Must have strong background in IHC staining (chromogenic and fluorescence) with 4+ years' experience in multiplex IF staining. Staining experience must include both manual and automated staining platforms
- Experience with microscopy, including multiplex IF, and whole slide scanning with a working knowledge of image analysis software. Experience using Akoya image acquisition/analysis software platform, as well as HALO and Image J strongly preferred
- Experience in antibody optimization/validation and assay development
- Must have a thorough understanding of experimental design, scientific principles and the ability to independently perform troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Familiarity with high-plex protein staining platforms and precision profiling techniques (Visium , GeoMx, CosMx) not required, but preferred
