This position is primarily responsible for implementing and monitoring EMC test plans executed as required as well as analyzing raw test data and creating draft test reports.This position participates in the development of new EMC test methods per customer requirements. Including requirement analysis, test planning, execution, failure analysis, and reporting test results. May require the supervision of EMC Engineers, EMC Technicians, and/or EMC Interns.What You Will DoLead other department EMC Engineers and Technicians.Provide training and mentoring to lower-level EMC Engineers.Use tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, digital analysis tools, machine tools, soldering equipment, and computers to design and document test setups.Developing and rewriting test plans and reports looking for continuous improvement.Schedule testing activities for an assigned project, e.g. estimate required hours and record actual (versus estimated), assist with and resolve scheduling problems for assigned project/job, and determine feasibility.Coordinates with external test laboratories for test outsourcing.Responsible for training as required for specific test setups.Review test setups to ensure correctness.Maintains history for products.In-depth understanding of customer specifications and requirements.Interface with other Harman organizations to ensure all qualification issues are reported and resolved promptly.Troubleshoot lab and project issues.Completes other related duties as assigned by the manager.What You NeedBSEE, BSEET, BSCS, BS Physics, or equivalent experience.5 years related electrical, mechanical, or validation engineering experience.Knowledge of audio components: speakers, amplifiers, and head units.EMC Lab accreditation experience is highly desirable.Advanced EMC and test solutions knowledge for automotive industriesWhat is Nice to HaveExperience in DVP review and effort estimation.Familiar with Automotive international EMC standards. Knowledge of automotive OEM specs is a plus.Proficiency in computer languages: C/C++, Python, LabView/LabWindows, etc.Qualified knowledge in the EMC field.
