We’re seeking a Principal Data Modeler / Architect to join our Global Data Architecture team within Enterprise Architecture that supports our Investments, Distributions, and Corporate data and analytics modeling requirements. You will be driving Enterprise Data Modeling Practice alongside a dynamic, and collaborative team that wants to hear your input because you know the leading methods, tools, and theories in data modeling and architecture. The focus of this role will be to Model our Enterprise Domains & help enable data engineering teams with the integration, modeling, and distribution of internal and external datasets that support our business clients. You’ll be working alongside our data visualization, data science and machine learning teams to extend the Invesco enterprise data architecture. Candidates will be expected to architect the platform, processes, and models to ingest, curate, model and provide secure access to structured and unstructured data sets.You Will Be Responsible For:Leading all aspects of and supporting build out of conceptual, logical, and physical dimensional domain data models to enable data warehouse / analytics data stores development & maintenance of data modeling artifactsEnsuring alignment of initiative level high and low designs against the agreed data/tech architecture and strategy & enforcing change control procedures & protocolsDeveloping data structures for data warehouses and data marts projects and initiatives; and supports data analytics and business intelligence systems.Work with Agile Squads, Business and System Analytics Stakeholders to investigate & perform source system & data mapping analysisCommunicate physical database designs and dba and explain features that may affect the physical data model. Conforms to guidelines on creating data models and various standards relating to governed data, identify appropriate data sourcing and extraction process and designate authoritative sources as systems of record for data usage in various applicationThe Experience You Bring:8-10 Years’ Experience building complex Data Models (Entity Relationship Diagrams, Logical Models, Physical Models)8-10 Years’ Experience reverse engineering models from existing databases8-10 Years’ Experience leveraging modeling tools (ErWin, ER Studio, Oracle Data Modeler, etc)8-10 Years’ Experience building OLTP, ETL data warehouse, and Relational Database Models (Analytical Data Models is a bonus)8-10 Years’ Experience writing high performing SQL, and complex queries3-5 Years’ Experience working in Cloud based technology environments, preferable AWS Redshift, SnowflakeExposure and experience with Data Factory, DataBricks, NoSQL modeling and/or Graph Modeling is nice to haveWhat’s in it for you?Our people are at the very core of our success.
