  • Salary range for Wastewater Treatment Operator is starting at $30.10
  • Schedule Rotating twelve (12) hour shifts and a varying schedule, including days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Niagara Falls, as the Wastewater Treatment Operator:
  • Operate the equipment and processes at the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), including the anaerobic reactor, aerobic reactors, DAFs, chemical feed systems, pumps, blowers, and biogas system.
  • Collect and analyze samples from various locations within the wastewater plant to monitor system health and make adjustments.
  • Evaluate sample data in order to make process changes to improve treatment efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) / (CID) responsible for completing daily rounds for his or her area of responsibility.

  • Has hands-on operating knowledge and skills related to mill water management or the effluent treatment plant preferred.
  • Follow Health, Safety Policies and Procedures and promote an incident free environment, and peer-to-peer mentorship.
  • Good understanding of industrial processes relating to water flow paths, pipe tracing, pumps, and other related equipment.
  • Has an understanding of basic chemistry and previous lab experience (TSS testing, COD, charge, turbidity) preferred.
  • Experience working with Haz and Non-Haz chemicals
  • Experience operating forklifts and moving chemical totes
  • Communication, Teamwork, Troubleshooting and Autonomy
  • Lean/5S responsibility for his or her area which demonstrates a lean, orderly, and clean area at all times.
  • SAP knowledge / work order system
  • LOTO knowledge
  • Good record of attendance and safety.
