- Manages the laboratory daily operations.
- Identifies raw materials that will improve RMC products efficiency, cost, and processes.
- Communicates with sales, marketing personnel on a regular basis regarding the organization of customer field trials of products.
- Conducts applications testing on behalf of customer accounts.
- Provides technical services to customer personnel involving laboratory analysis and productions controls as needed.
- Checks quality control parameters for products.
- Identifies process improvements to enhance production.
- Qualifies new suppliers to support purchasing efficiency goals achievements.
- Analyzes competitors’ products.
- Keeps up to date of the latest developments in RMC related technologies through reading, attendance at seminars and conferences, etc.
- Searches the patent databases for useful external technologies on Company products on a regular basis.
- Provides clear roadmap of execution for each project.
- Delivers appropriate project deliverables in respect of timelines and cost.
- Uses project management tools and prioritization methods to keep teams updated on timelines and costs.
- Performs such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required by RMC management.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years experience in performing chemistry laboratory analyses and syntheses in a product/process formulation laboratory or related activities; experience to include chemical formulation and experimental design and statistics.
- Experience with chemical analysis, organic, physical, qualitative, and quantitative analyses, algebra, and calculus.
- Familiarity and comfort in the use of chemical analytical tools: gas and liquid chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy.
- Comfort level making oral and written presentations to internal and external staff.
- Comfortable with formalizing and structuring communication.
- Working level knowledge in the use of a personal computer and related software applications.
