Job Summary
  • The Nurse Practitioner provides medical management of patients (assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment) for patients with physician supervision.
  • Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical problem.
  • Orders further testing and refers to other medical providers as necessary for the appropriate medical management of the patient.
  • Documents appropriately in the EMR and completes all necessary forms and correspondence for proper patient care in a timely manner.
  • Fosters the development of staff to fulfill the current and future requirements of individuals and the organization.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Actively supports and promotes the shared mission of Norman Regional Health System to achieve strategic goals

QualificationsEducation
  • Nurse Practitioner Degree
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Related Primary Care experience preferred
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)Licensure/Certification
  • Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing with Family Medicine certification
  • Must meet credentialing requirements of Norman Regional
  • eClinical Works medical heath record experience a plus but not required
