Located: Willimantic American Job CenterRequired qualifications:
- Associates Degree plus one year related work experience or a H.S Diploma plus three years of related work experience. (will consider reasonable alternative combination of education and experience)
- Ability to thrive within diverse teams and serve people with diverse socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbal and written, including de-escalation skills
- Experience with Outreach and Marketing activities, such as attending recruitment events
- Capacity to complete data-entry tasks utilizing web-based systems, maintain accuracy and efficiency in fast-paced environment
- Time/Task management and the ability to work independently
- Ability to infrequently travel within Eastern Connecticut and occasionally statewide with reliable transportation
- Capacity to process invoices, reconcile accounts and manage vendor orders
- Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Design ability utilizing web-based tools such as Canva.com
- Competency with Google Suite (drive, docs, sheets, etc)
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Welcoming all customers/visitors and engaging with customer inquiries via remote platforms (e.g.; telephone/text, email, video call or web-based chat).
- Requires independently handling of any related customer service issues.
- Responsible for providing Job center and partner program information
- Assisting customers and staff with faxing, filing, registering for workshops coordinating meetings and appointments.
- Conducting adult and community programs information sessions
- Supporting the set-up of and proctoring of testing (e.g.; CASAS, Pearson Vue, etc).
- Ensuring that all front desk operations are carried out in an organized and efficient fashion.
- Completing on site virtual service delivery, maintaining virtual database information, and assisting with digital tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
