This position will also involve performing rating calculations for bridges. May mentor, train and review work of junior engineer staff and provide constructive feedback. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB's clients.What You'll Do:Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.Assist in the development of project specifications.Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, orMaster's degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, orPhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experienceWhat You'll Bring:Perform and supervise bridge inspection services including scheduling, inspections, report writing and review and database managementPerform and/or review structural load rating calculations of various bridgesDevelop project inspection and safety criteria, load rating calculations, and estimating National Bridge Element quantities and costsCost control on projects and quality control within bridge disciplineResolve problems, interpret engineering specifications, investigate structural deficiencies and field engineering difficulties and coordinate schedulesManage single and multi-discipline structural engineering projectsProvide technical guidance and mentoring of project team members, including other engineers and technical support staff such as (Assistant Team Leaders and CADD techs)Lead a small team of engineers in the execution of project design and production on both small and large projectsPrepare and check condition survey drawings and/or specificationsReview and check engineering work completed by othersOversee planning and inspection phases of projectsMarket to clients in pursuit of additional projectsWhat We Prefer:Engineer in Training (EIT) certificationProfessional Engineer (PE) certificationNHI Safety Inspection of In-Service BridgesOSHA 10 (OSHA 30 Preferable)Must have drivers license4 years of bridge inspection and/or bridge design experience.Additional InformationClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total RewardsClick here to learn more about EOE including disability and vetVisa sponsorship is available for this position.#SR #Bridges #LI-SR1.Locations:Kansas City, MO, Overland Park, KS (Sprint Parkway)..........NOTICE TO THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES:HNTB does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies.
