The full salary range for this position is $18.96 - $23.57 per hour. Newly hired paraeducators will be placed on steps 1 - 3 of our salary schedule ($18.96 - $20.29 per hour). Step placement will be based on years of verified paraeducator or teacher experience.Assignment/Location:
We are recruiting for a Special Education Paraeducator to serve Glenwood School District. This position is 33.75 hours per week, school year schedule.Only complete applications will be considered.A complete application will include: * Complete work history section, including ANY and ALL employment going back 10 years

- A copy of your HS diploma or GED
- Evidence of meeting one of the educational requirements listed in the minimum qualifications
- Supervise students.
- Collect data and report student progress.
- Maintain accurate data collection records.
- Communicate with staff and parents as instructed by the Special Education Teacher.
- Provide positive behavior management support, consistent with the IEP or IFSP.
- Attend to the physical needs of students, including moving and positioning students & assisting with personal hygiene needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, inservice programs, workshops and seminars.
- Participate as a member of the education team. May attend parent conferences.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Associate's Degree OR
- 48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university; OR
- Passing score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment; OR
- Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR
- 65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program.
- Knowledge of programs and services for students with disabilities.
- Provide assistance and attend to the physical needs of students including moving and positioning students and assisting with personal hygiene needs, including but not limited to: tube feeding, catheterization, changing diapers, toileting.
- Sit, stand, and stoop to attend to student's needs & to provide instruction.
- Regular attendance during assigned work schedule.
- Travel within ESD 112 region for meetings and trainings.
- Within three years of employment meet Washington State Core Competencies for paraeducators as defined in WAC 392-172A-02090 (f).
