Description :Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops, maintains and revises planning and reporting documentation, procedures and systems that relate to the assigned product lines.
  • Maintains a safe working environment through improved housekeeping, 5S initiatives, enforcement education of safety regulations, plant conduct rules, methods and layout improvements.
  • Directs subordinates in the management of their assigned responsibilities to achieve production goals and strategic plan goals.
  • Analyzes the product design and the associated operations methods, procedures and processes with respect to safety cost, quality, reliability and availability; takes corrective and preventative action as needed.
  • Implements Lean Manufacturing techniques (KANBAN, one-piece flow, 5S, daily attainment, management by daily improvement) to ensure on time availability of product to customer.
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot production processing and product problems with Manufacturing Engineers and work cell employees to ensure timely resolution of problems. This may include hands-on modifications to equipment and programming.
  • Coordinate inventory control measures (DemandFlo, KANBAN, part obsolescence) to achieve inventory turn objectives.
  • Coordinates departmental quality meetings to review and address quality issues as they arise.
Position Requirements
  • Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Business, Engineering or a Manufacturing related field;
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Formal training in production and inventory control system
  • Previous experience and proven track record in two or more of the following categories:
  • Production planning in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Master scheduling in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Production supervision
  • Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Group Leader experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Previous Printed Circuit Board or similar Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Use of computers and software such as MS Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
