- Customer Service:
- Greet and consult with customers, accurately diagnose vehicle problems, and explain repair options in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure a positive customer experience by exceeding expectations and fostering trust.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Build strong customer relationships and generate repeat business.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership, coaching, and development for a team of automotive technicians.
- Motivate and inspire your team to achieve high performance standards.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure deadlines are met.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Shop Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of daily shop operations, including scheduling, parts inventory management, and service quality control.
- Ensure efficient workflow and prioritize jobs to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Monitor technician performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability of the shop.
- Meet or exceed sales goals assigned by the district manager.
- Upsell additional services to customers based on their needs.
- Administrative Duties:
- Prepare service estimates and invoices.
- Process customer payments and handle cash flow management.
- Maintain accurate shop records and documentation.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive service management or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in exceeding sales goals and profitability targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive repair procedures and diagnostics (preferred).
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Proficient in computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, shop management software).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (may be required).
