- Measure, cut, and install glass panels for windows, doors, partitions, and other architectural elements in commercial buildings.
- Assemble and install metal and glass frameworks, including aluminum framing systems and curtain walls.
- Perform repairs and replacements of damaged or broken glass components.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure precise execution of glazing projects.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards while working at heights and using heavy equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and hours worked.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the final product.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance your skills and contribute to innovative glazing solutions.
- Previous experience as a commercial glazier is preferred.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing glass panels using various tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with different types of glass and their applications, including tempered, laminated, and insulated glass.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a team environment and collaborating with other tradespeople.
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy glass panels, stand for extended periods, and work at heights.
