Job Description Summary: The Data Analytics Developer I is an intermediate career position whose goal is to create efficient and automated processes for data collection, analytics, and reporting. They serve Green Plains by working from within the Analytics department and partnering directly with various areas of the business to find answers to complex questions by marrying data and insider knowledge to create repeatable solutions and insights.This multi-faceted role has the opportunity to grow in multiple career paths such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, and Data Automation EngineerResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement automated data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or technical equivalent
  • Proficiency in at least one data processing language such as Python, R, or JavaScript with the ability to write and test code with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of database and data storage technologies
  • Valid driver’s license required.
