  • Prepare and review of complex federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax estimates and extensions
  • Supervise staff updates to income/franchise tax calendar to ensure all tax filing deadlines are met
  • Lead and oversee international tax aspects of tax compliance and planning, including but not limited to base erosion anti-abuse tax (“BEAT”), global intangible low taxed income (“GILTI”), and Subpart F.
  • Identify and research tax questions that may arise from business partners and continuously monitor tax updates
  • Supervise staff preparation of Personal Property Tax Return, Sales Tax, GST/HST, and VAT compliance
  • Advise on appropriate sales/use tax treatment and manage sales tax exemption certificate process
  • Manage state and local tax credits and economic incentives, including application for new credits
  • Provide technical expertise in Section 41 tax credit to Business Groups and oversight of third-party preparer
  • Advise on technical accounting for monthly tax provision, review tax accounts to ensure accuracy of tax entry postings, and review required footnote disclosures
  • Assist in federal and state income tax audits
  • Identify inefficiencies and develop continuous process improvements
  • Carry out feasibility analysis and implementation of tax planning ideas
  • Lead US Tax Team involvement in restructurings and planning initiatives in collaboration with Group Tax Department as required
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or related field (required)
  • Maintain a valid Certified Public Accountant license (preferred)
  • Have a Master’s Degree in Taxation and/or Law Degree (preferred)
  • Have 10+ years combine experience in both public accounting and tax department of global corporation with R&D tax credit work and related incentives experience (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision software
  • Have advanced knowledge of tax accounting principles, IRS regulations, and R&D tax credit incentives and issues
  • Possess organizational skills and can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects
  • Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
  • Exhibit commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
